Simulation package is an ultra-versatile package that relies on Monte Carlo simulation to provide all possible results on your model.
At the time of its creation, the package consisted solely of a stochastic Petri net module with predicate and assertion. This module offers enormous modeling flexibility, and has been used in all fields for over 40 years. Featuring both a step-by-step simulation mode for model validation, and a high-performance computation engine, it has become the world reference on the subject.
Now that this Petri net concept has proved its worth, higher-level modules have been created to combine the power of Petri net with a business vision of the models.
Production availability, logistics support, cost optimization, complex systems, mission-critical systems – this package adapts to every need.
Petri
Petri is the stochastic Petri net module with predicate and assertion. This module offers modeling flexibility that has enabled it to be used in all sectors of activity. It is the world reference on the subject.
Based on Monte Carlo simulation, there are no mathematical limits or uncontrolled approximations to get in the way of your modeling. You’ll have absolute confidence in your results, for which confidence intervals are always provided.
BStoK
BStoK allows you to model a system in the form of a stochastic block diagram. Unlike reliability block diagrams, it takes into account the dynamic behavior of systems and their logistics support (spare parts, maintenance teams). Its interactive simulation will enable you to validate your block diagram, and its Monte Carlo simulation computations will provide all the desired results.
Petro
Petro module, with its Process Flow Diagram-like modeling, is perfect for RAM studies in the process industry. Petro features a wide range of functions to quickly define the optimum design for your plant: multi-flow, teams and spare parts management, cost management, interactive simulation. All simulation results are accessible.
Flex
As an MBSA tool (Model Based Safety Assessment) , Flex is based on the use of blocks/components that can be created (or selected from a library) and linked together. It combines the advantages of Petri nets and BStoK. It benefits from the flexibility of stochastic predicate Petri nets and the Moca-RP language, and the ease of use of Block Diagram. In Flex, each Petri net becomes a configurable component that can be used as a block by users unfamiliar with Petri nets.
HPC plugin
Monte Carlo simulation can be very resource-intensive. In order to carry out a very large number of stories/simulations in a very short time, all the modules in the Simulation package can deport the calculation to a supercomputer. GRIF’s HPC plugin manages various computation schedulers and a connection to AZURE, enabling calculation times to be divided by 1000 compared with a standard laptop.
