For scientific computing software, maintenance ensures that you will always be able to use the software in line with the state of the art in terms of operating safety, as well as with constantly evolving standards.
From an IT service point of view, it’s the guarantee of being able to use the software you bought several years ago on the latest versions of Windows or Linux. It’s also a response to cyber requirements, as well as the benefit of versions free of known vulnerabilities.
For the user, it’s above all a guarantee that you won’t be stuck for 1 week when a bug occurs, because our teams identify and resolve 90% of bugs in less than 2 working days.

If you have a problem installing or using a software, you can contact the SATODEV maintenance team using the telephone number and e-mail address dedicated to the software. We usually call you back within half a day.
If you have detected a bug, please let us know and we will do our best to provide you with a patch as soon as possible. SATODEV can also send you patches before you detect the problem. This is made possible by the cyber watch we carry out and the feedback we receive from our community of over 100 companies.
Every 1-2 years, new major software versions are released. These bring improvements to meet new needs. Whether it’s to obtain new information on increasingly complex systems, to integrate new standards, or to improve the user experience, 80% of our users use the latest versions of our software.
New modules may be added to the various software packages we develop. They are generally added to meet completely new needs, as the Petro module in GRIF (owned by TotalEnergies) or the remote computation module in CECILIA (owned by Dassault-Aviation)that have been integrated into the scope of their respective software with no obligation for the customer to purchase new licenses.

SUPPORT FOR OPTIMUM USE OF TOOLS
SATODEV offers specific technical support for modeling with GRIF or CECILIA-Workshop. This support is intended for people already using the tools and who need our expertise to :
- Optimize use of the software to reduce modeling and computation time;
- Find specific solutions to meet new requirements from customers, management or new standards;
- Explain advanced functions that are difficult to implement;
- Define a working methodology to create models as close as possible to real systems, in order to reduce approximations;
- Provide mathematical and theoretical reminders on specific points to help the user.
This technical assistance will be available by telephone or videoconference, in the form of a fixed number of hours to be used over the course of the year.
USER SUPPORT FOR SOLVING COMPLEX PROBLEMS
Anyone can be confronted with a problem that seems unsolvable, especially when modeling dynamic models such as Petri nets or AltaRica. If you don’t have the opportunity to talk to an expert in your company, or if you’re the expert and don’t have the solution, support can help you out.
Value waits for no man’s age, but experience is often the key in these situations. Even if they’re all different, modeling problems often have a lot in common. With an average of over 20 years’ experience, SATODEV’s experts have seen and solved numerous problems, giving them an invaluable basis for helping you.
COST-CONTROLLED USER SUPPORT
User support is available by telephone or videoconference. It is simply billed by the hour.
The company chooses a package corresponding to the annual number of hours envisaged (minimum 4 hours). New customers generally start with a short contract of 4 or 8 hours, then renew for more hours if necessary.
Every minute spent with/for the customer is deducted from the initial package. For example, an 8-hour contract can be spread over 3 weeks and can be broken down into 2 meetings, 1 solution search by SATODEV, a workshop to put the solution into practice, and the drafting of a document to serve as an internal memo for the customer.
Note that the first meeting can also be used to solve all the problems at once, in which case the remaining hours can be used later in the year according to the customer needs.
